Night Warehouse Janitor Jobs

This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Perform light maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, painting, etc.

Empty trash receptacles throughout the building

Other projects or duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED

Any task asked by management.

Ensuring all auditorium seats are in good working order and repairing broken ones in a timely manner.

Other minor repairs as needed.

Organizing custodial closets and spaces.

Be aware of all safety and emergency procedures.

Six (6) months work experience or High School diploma/GED

Ability to interact effectively with co-workers with disabilities.

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.

Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.

Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.

Polishes metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.

Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred

Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy

Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet

Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment

Oversee safety for the crew at all times. Maintain working knowledge of PSG safety program requirements and ensure adherence.

Expense management and asset protection.

Identify customer product requirements. Communicate with the team and ensure requirements are met

Develop and manage crew schedules to ensure efficient operations. Maintain vacation schedule coverage and planning.

Develop and manage cross-training programs to improve production and warehouse flexibility.

Minimum of two years related experience and/or training

General cleaning knowledge is preferred

Days of the week needed for these shifts will be based on the needs of the business. Flexible

Willingness to learn and flexibility is required

Ability to climb stairs, walk, bend, stoop and withstand heights

Areas of high/low cleanliness include but will not be limited to:

Previous warehouse management experience (5+ years preferred)

Manage night shift staff including pickers, reach-truck operators, checkers, loaders, and supervisors.

Complete knowledge of shipping processes in a distribution environment (food distribution preferred)

Experience in a food distribution environment

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Maintain schedule for night shift

Identifies problems, proposes solutions to other members of management and promotes cooperation with other departments.

Executes management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations.

Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Demonstrate knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, and ability to learn Sysco technology software and programs.

Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.

Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.

Education: It is preferred that you have janitorial experience

Cleanroom experience , medical terminal cleaning experience Physical Demands and Qualifications:

Must be willing to travel to different locations.

Hours can range from 20-25 hours a week.

3 months of work-related experience required; or combination of education and experience

Computer and data-entry skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Basic data entry (10-key by touch) skills

Perform data entry for the shipping department to ensure records are accurately maintained.

Food service industry experience preferred

Complete appropriate management tasks to maintain a productive and safe warehouse environment.

Manage and coordinate the daily workload of assigned warehouse personnel to ensure productivity levels are met and maintained.

At least 2 years of warehouse experience required

Food service and/or manufacturing experience preferred

Willingness to take directions from the Cleaning Lead, Supervisor, or Manager

No previous cleaning experience is required

Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures

Ability to work independently, be self-managed and motivated to meet deadlines

Night Shift: Full-time starts 5:30pm or 6pm till finished, 10+ hours a day, plus mandatory OT

This is an entry level job, GED preferred but not required. Previous work experience preferred.

Fill all spray bottles with the germicide needed to clean and sterilize.

Mop all floors and/or vacuum all carpets.
