At least 2 years in grant management and leadership in cross departmental and organizations is preferred.

Respond to questions from cost center managers relating to capital plans and grant funding

Manage Grant Administration and other grant writing resources within the Department

Communications - Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Clear, concise, and persuasive

Customer Focus - Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations

Three years experience in grants writing and grants administration is preferred, as is specific experience with government grants and grant regulations.

Have government program management experience related to processing and issuing grants and/or loans for federal agencies.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or equivalent. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

Experience working with Tribal entities or Tribally affiliated and other similarly unique applicants.

Attention to detail; strong analytical skills.

Problem solving skills; ability to develop and present solutions or alternative practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Assist with development of procedures and systems to continuously improve program management in support of federal sponsor(s) and other requirements.

Experience working with Banner and/or Financial relational database programs.

Experience working with Montana State University and/or State of Montana Fiscal and purchasing regulations and reporting.
