Overview Military and Family Life Counselor Embedded (MFLC) is a mental health professional who provides short-term, non-medical counseling services to active duty service members and their families. MFLCs are embedded in military units and provide services on-site, in the field, and in garrison. Detailed Job Description MFLCs provide non-medical counseling services to active duty service members and their families. They provide short-term, solution-focused counseling to help service members and their families cope with the unique challenges of military life. MFLCs work with service members and their families to identify and address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, marital and family issues, parenting, anger management, and grief and loss. MFLCs also provide education and training on topics such as resilience, communication, and problem-solving. Job Skills Required
