Middle School Academic Dean Jobs

• Supervisory or management experience

• Review of all academic materials to ensure compliance with department of education and accreditation requirements

Remote, Chicago area preferred (some in-person may be required)

• Develop, implement, oversee, and evaluate curricular offerings for all academic programs

Design, facilitate, and evaluate pedagogically-oriented workshops that model effective and inclusive practices in teaching in higher education.

Provide excellent fiscal stewardship and manage the CETL and part time faculty budgets.

5+ years in a leadership role in higher education

Familiarity with higher education processes and trends

Faculty and Staff training experience

Teaching in a higher education setting

A Track record of exemplary instructional and classroom management skills, including meeting extremely high standards for student achievement

Coordinate and manage creative, inspiring professional development sessions in line with school goals and priorities.

Assist teacher leaders (e.g., coaches, grade team leaders) in developing leadership skills.

A Proven ability to proactively and effectively coach and manage adults and drive excellent student achievement through others.

At least 3 years of K-12 full-time lead teaching experience with a record of high student achievement.

At least 1 year of experience coaching and leading adults to obtain high student achievement.

Experience with regional accreditation leadership.

Experience with developing and implementing workforce programs.

Master’s degree in a related field.

Outstanding public speaking and writing skills

At least two years of experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred

New York State Teaching Certification or Equivalent

Experience as an education program leader at a high-performing charter public

Work with the school wide Director of Education (Head Principal) in the evaluation of teachers.

Standard teaching license from the NJ Department of Education

Minimum seven years teaching experience at the middle or high school level
