Metadata Operations Assistant Jobs

Experience with CMS, data asset management, libraries, or digital collections

Excellent time management skills; the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of current streaming, music and talk radio user experience strategies is strongly preferred

Content Tagging - Review and apply additional tags to content to improve the quality of search, recommendations, and discovery experiences

Knowledge of taxonomy standards and best-practices for metadata tagging

Passion and depth of knowledge of one or more of following: Music, Sports, Politics/News, Entertainment

Advanced knowledge of bibliographic concepts, cataloging and library organization.

Previous experience performing original and complex copy cataloging in an academic library.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Receiving, managing, maintaining and organizing new and legacy materials to ensure access and discovery.

Exporting bibliographic records from OCLC into ExLibris Alma Network Zone, creating holdings and item records in the local catalog (Institution Zone).

Maintaining Alma holdings to reflect accuracy and currency.

1 year of experience in marketing, book publishing, book industry, account support, client administration, data management, or related field

Implements processes and adhere to standards for title metadata management, resulting in high data integrity and satisfactory audit practices.

Assists in client outreach for metadata management communications to client publishers on a seasonal basis, ensuring deadlines are met.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent year for year directly related experience

Book industry experience or strong interest in books
