Memory Care Caregiver Jobs in Florida

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred

Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.

Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.

One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education, experience and staff management

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and experience; subject to State requirements.

Supervision and management experience to supervise staff.

Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook software. Basic typing skills required

Maintain stimulating life enrichment activity programs that empower, maintain and support individual preferences and capabilities.

Train associates and model expectation for resident’s successful dining experience.

Knowledge of how to develop and utilize service plans, medication management systems, infection control practices and safety procedures

Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Geriatric Nursing or Gerontology and/or Dementia Care

Skills in promoting teamwork, leadership, team member empowerment, and responsiveness to residents

Observing and reporting any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the General Manager, physician and family following state regulations.

Teaching experience or adult learning experience preferred

Ability to multi-task and good organization skills, communication and public relations skills, display traits of creativity, flexibility and teamwork a must

Must have 2 years of experience with geriatric population, including Alzheimer's Dementia with ability to adapt to changing behaviors

Proven computer skills with Microsoft Word and Office
