Memory Care Activity Director Jobs in Georgia

One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education, experience and staff management

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and experience; subject to State requirements.

Supervision and management experience to supervise staff.

Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook software. Basic typing skills required

Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts

Maintain stimulating life enrichment activity programs that empower, maintain and support individual preferences and capabilities.

Maintain department within yearly budgeting guidelines.

Develop an activities program that encompasses the following: physical exercise, arts and crafts, entertainment, religious services and special events.

Encourage resident participation in the activities.

Set up and organize all activities and events.

Interview new and existing residents to discover what their activity interests are and develop programs that fit the majority.

Organize leisure time activities such as games, puzzles, movies, etc.

Knowledge of and experience with program facilitation and activity program development

Utilizes training tools consistent with the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program Orientation and Education Trainer Manual and Workbook.

High school diploma or general education degree

Certification or licensed per state guidelines.

Must have current Basic First Aid and CPR certification if required by State

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Memory Care:

Serves as the primary point of contact (meeting routinely) with USAID for activity design and implementation and management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including experience preparing high-quality reports and presentations.

Manages the implementation of rigorous analytical research to help guide program approaches.

At least 5 years of experience leading large projects with complex and concurrent tasks.

At least 5 years of direct program/subject matter experience in resilience, food security, WASH, and other related topics.

Experience working on large USAID-funded contracts; and

Provide family education through support groups, family council, and other methods of information such as newsletters, brochures, etc.
