Job Description of Medical Scribe and Transcription Associate The Medical Scribe and Transcription Associate is responsible for providing accurate and timely transcription of medical records for healthcare providers. The Medical Scribe and Transcription Associate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure that all medical records are accurately documented and stored in the appropriate electronic health record (EHR) system. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Proficiency in using medical transcription software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in medical transcription or related field
• Certification in medical transcription (preferred)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Knowledge of medical transcription software
• Knowledge of medical record keeping and documentation
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Job Experience
• Previous experience in medical transcription or related field
• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Job Responsibilities
• Transcribe medical records accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy of medical records by verifying information with healthcare providers
