Overview Medical Assistant University Village is a medical assistant position at a university health clinic. The medical assistant will provide patient care, administrative support, and clinical services to the clinic. Detailed Job DescriptionThe Medical Assistant University Village will be responsible for providing patient care, administrative support, and clinical services to the clinic. This includes but is not limited to:
• Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers with patient care
• Taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations
• Administering medications and injections
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
• Assisting with medical billing and coding
• Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Assisting with other duties as assigned
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant program
• Certification as a medical assistant
• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Current CPR certification
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
