Receives all medical supplies and equipment/verify by packing/slip/PO

Processes outbound/inbound freight as necessary

Maintains a high degree of communication, cooperation and coordination with assigned departments regarding purchases and delivery

Organizes and files all bill of ladings and FedEx slips

Conducts physical counts upon request/assists with rotation of inventory stock and checks stock expiration dates.

Restocks received products into assigned locations

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently is a requirement for this position.

The Surplus store hours are 7:30 – 4:30 M-F.

We’re looking for students who can work at least 10 hours per week.

Provides training and desk-side support, as required, for ERP modules used by Supply Chain employees in the materials management space.

Authors and maintains Supply Chain materials management procedures, policies, and job aids.

Actively seeks and identifies opportunities for value creation through enhanced materials management workstreams, procedures, and projects.

Align with Supply Chain Category Management to define commercial strategies for transportation of Company owned materials and assets.

Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University focused in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.

Manages projects related to the deduplication and enrichment of material master data records for pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) material commodities.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Act as liaison with supported departments to continuously improve the materials management processes and support and facilitate contracts.

Demonstrated experience with budget systems (i.e. Axiom).

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Oversee the function of all supply distribution, receiving, and shipping activities.

Minimum of three (3) to six (6) months experience required. Materials management experience preferred.

Performs rounding of all patient care areas / nodes to identify required materials management support.

Performs, organizes, and monitors medical materials management functions.

Maintains appropriate communication with Managers/Associates as needed to facilitate the flow of items.

Responsible for regular communication with department managers to ensure that we have the most current associate listings.

Responsible for the timely distribution/replenishment of all medical supplies and equipment.

Keeps current with new products, technology, and developments in Hospital purchasing and materials management.

5-8 years of work experience in procurement supporting operations, healthcare facilities or capital construction projects

Working knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies

Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences

Manage the inventory control function to maintain adequate stock to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

May directly manage vendor relationships or work with vendors to resolve quality, shipping, or invoicing issues.

Skill in data entry with minimal errors.

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

General knowledge of office procedures and operations.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Checks expiration dates on supplies in inventory and rotates supplies.

Assists in the unloading and unpacking of inventory items as they are received.
