Overview Material Technician 1 is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in a manufacturing environment. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as performing quality control checks and maintaining accurate records. Detailed Job Description Material Technician 1 is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in a manufacturing environment. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as performing quality control checks and maintaining accurate records. The Material Technician 1 is also responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly labeled and stored in the correct location. The Material Technician 1 must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of material handling and storage procedures
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Knowledge of basic computer applications
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
