This position requires an understanding of the quality system and will maintain a close working relationship with Quality Management.

Inform Quality Management of any discrepancies in the manufacturing process, including material quality, process routers, drawings and parts list.

Manual dexterity and skill level of working with hand tools is a requirement.

Some warehouse experience is really the main must-have. Forklift qualified helpful, but not required

Maintain a current working knowledge of all packing and shipping methods. Package orders accurately and completely according to established schedules.

Maintain a current knowledge of the engraving process and procedure.

Must have valid state issued driver's license.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. No Clearance Required Prior to Start Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Other Important Information You Should Know

Extensive experience with OR supplies, instrumentation, and equipment and know their applications and suitable substitutions.

Experience, general understanding and recognition of medical equipment hospital/clinical setting are required.

Experience in maintaining multiple filing systems, records, and logistical information is required in this position.

Proficiency in and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge of computerized and hard-copy information systems is essential.

Knowledge and applicable use of University of California policies and procedures.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties

User-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred

Materials from designated areas to/from production floor using forklift and/or other Transport conveyance methods

Prepares outgoing materials using a variety of methods and equipment, including, but not limited to, scanning, labeling, wrapping/packaging etc

Completes required paperwork to accompany outgoing materials such as Inter-company Bills of Lading

Inputs data to maintain configuration management compliance with various computer software systems.

Experience with material handling equipment.

Material Handling Equipment Certifications highly desired.

Familiarity with DCMA contract property administration requirements desired.

Perform receiving and material movement function including:

Receives purchased and completed manufactured items, verifies identification codes and quantities.

Provide input to management regarding transportation budgets in coordination with branch management

Responsible for meeting customer delivery requirements in a cost-effective manner

Properly manage the transportation function through SAP System

Answer shipping office phones, radio and may back-up Shipping / Receiving Clerks

Computer skills – Excel, Microsoft

Experience shipping and receiving products using a computer inventory system
