Overview A Marine Technician is a professional who is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of marine vessels and related equipment. They are responsible for ensuring that all vessels are in safe and working condition, and that all safety regulations are followed. Detailed Job Description A Marine Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of marine vessels and related equipment. This includes inspecting, testing, and repairing engines, pumps, and other mechanical systems; performing routine maintenance on vessels; and troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems. They may also be responsible for installing new equipment and performing routine maintenance on vessels. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of marine engines, pumps, and other mechanical systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in marine mechanics and/or electrical systems
• Previous experience in marine maintenance and repair
