Manufacturing Chemist I Jobs in Utah

Active OSHA compliant Forklift Certification is a plus.

Must report to work with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.

Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.

Must be knowledgeable about Engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.

Conduct research, investigation, and analysis in connection with assigned planning or other assigned projects, to ensure conformance to requirements.

Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential; make necessary computer inputs and generate data or reports as needed.

Basic knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.

Lean Specialist certification or higher preferred.

Assist in make-or-buy proposals and recommend corrective actions for areas of responsibility.

Description: Uses engineering concepts, company SOPs/WIDs, department SOPs/WIDs to solve a variety of difficult engineering problems across functional groups and disciplines.

Works on: problems of moderate scope and complexity. Generally, works on a team with other engineers.

Compliance: Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics Quality System.

Makes design and technical decisions subject to review by Senior, Principal, and other engineers.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and state, federal and local laws.

Prepares standard, sample, and buffer solutions as required by test methods and performs all necessary calculations associated.

Labels, transcribes and records documentation such as report sheets and laboratory notebooks as required by SOPs.

Cleans, maintains and calibrates laboratory equipment to ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).

Meets project deadlines and performance standards as assigned.

Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
