Participates in a variety of unit and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels.

Courteously answers the telephone and answers all questions in a timely manner.

Identifies and refers uninsured and underinsured patients to the Financial Counselor.

Inquires patient account system(s) to identify any previous unpaid liability in AMPFM/Misys.

Assist with schedule management activities including scrubbing schedules, completing confirmation calls, working patient wait lists, reschedules and follow up.

Participate in risk and quality management processes. Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA and CLIA regulations and workplace safety policies.

Third - Sixth Week: Home Health Center Training (On-Site instructor led at Home Site)

Perform verifications for eligibility and benefit information as necessary

Provide appropriate and accurate patient education and information as needed.

Experience working in a health care setting preferred
