Mailroom Sorter Jobs

· Minimum Years of Experience (5+ years)

· Clear understanding and working knowledge of DoD and Navy mail center security protocols.

· Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills.

· Strong Customer Service skills.

· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

· Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and multi-task on a variety of initiatives.

Complete all miscellaneous duties and/or projects as assigned by management in an efficient manner

Experience with data entry into proprietary systems and Excel

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of administrative and mainframe systems needed to process service requests

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a role that includes processing incoming mail and/or scanning and indexing duties

Experience with mail sorting and scanning technology preferred

Open and sort all incoming correspondence with supervision

Computer Skills: Introductory knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel)

Open, receive, sort and review mail to prepare for scanning

Separate and insert documents into envelops.

Identify document types in order to perform appropriate functions

Perform quality check to identify contents

Receives documents from both electronic and hard copy forms for processing

In some areas, requires vocational training, certifications, licensures, or equivalent experience.

Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work.

Performs business support or technical work, using data organizing and coordination skills.

Expands skills within an analytical or operational process.

Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.

Has developed skills in a range of processes, procedures, and systems.

Able to perform routine job duties

Make multiple mail runs through out the day

Load and unload large wheeled carts of paper/mail

Distribute Mail to the prep team.

Work on other assigned mailroom task

Follow mailroom security procedures and protocols

Mailroom Scanning and Scan QC

Mon - Sat with Wednesday or Thursday off during week.

6:30 until Clean Desk (OT Possible)

Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs.

Other duties will be assigned as needed
