Pm Local Dispatcher Jobs

Have or be willing to get DOT physical.

At least 23 years of age.

Rotate automotive EDV units onto chargers

Complete road tests –as needed

Mechanical assistance, such as jump-starting units and filling units’ fuel tanks

Assist with CPU units, locate the units in the yard and verifying VIN numbers

Clear and Effective Communication with internal and external customers to provide route instructions, updates, special service requirements, cut-off times, problems.

Dispatch Administration Duties job document organization, labeling, record/ log keeping, emails and phone answering responsibilities, if needed.

Strong Verbal, Written Communication and Phone Skills

Manifest Creation. Prepare Daily PM work and necessary run schedules.

Work and effectively with drivers to coordinate Airport recoveries and deliveries.

Work and effectively with Customer Service Team, Warehouse team, and other stations to schedule and execute shipment loads appropriately.

Working closely with the Office Manager in regards to qualification, hiring, training and retention of drivers

Strong computer skills – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook

Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills and problem solving ability

Professional driving experience is a plus

- Minimum of 2 year of port - drayage dispatching experience and operations in the trucking industry

Managing operation of steady routes; dispatching and scheduling appointments with terminals, pick-ups and drop offs

Knowledge of all DOT rules and regulations a must.

Other duties as assigned by the Terminal Manager.

Experience in Logistics / Trucking a must to be considered for this position

Responsible for efficient and cost-effective scheduling of drivers and routing of trucks.

Must be proficient in various computer programs including electronic logs.

Oversee manifests are completed and provided to drivers in a timely manner.

Knowledge of all DOT rules and regulations a must.

Other duties as assigned by the Terminal Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Minimum of two years transportation / dispatch experience

Sound understanding of DOT regulations, HazMat and OTR experience preferred

Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations

Operate safely and compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
