Tax Liability Insurance Junior Underwriter Jobs

You will be joining a team of highly motivated and knowledgeable individuals ranging from Senior to Junior Underwriters.

Basic to intermediate technical knowledge of systems and procedures

Basic computer knowledge and comfortable using the Microsoft suite. Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Previous experience in the insurance industry helpful but not required.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, or a related field or 2 years -experience in mortgage underwriting

Prioritize, track, and manage the bank statement analysis process to ensure service levels meet or exceed expectations

When requested by the Underwriting Manager, assist in the review and clearing of conditions of loans in the pipeline

2 years of previous experience in residential loan products.

NonQM & DSCR product knowledge

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Manage vehicle insurance of off-lease inventory

Three years office experience preferred

Basic understanding of equipment finance business preferred

Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel skills required

Coordinate the renewal of insurance certificates

Provide guidance and assistance to customers regarding credit requirements and loan options.

Collaborate with team members to optimize the credit application process and improve customer experience.

Possess basic knowledge of computers and programs such as Microsoft Office applications, Dealer socket, DealerTrack, Google applications and Reynolds.

Minimum of three (3) years current Auto Credit experience with background in loan processing is preferred.

Submit credit applications to HGreg's preferred lenders to obtain approvals for car purchases.

Review credit reports and ensure the accuracy of the information.

3 - 5 years of Marine/Cargo insurance underwriting experience required

Managing an assigned book of Marine and Cargo business underwriting risk and pricing for partner Agents.

Reviewing commercial coverage forms, rating plans and guidelines.

Ensuring adequate pricing through identification of exposures, proper classifications, accuracy of information while adhering to underwriting standards with little oversight.

Computer literate including use of Word, Excel and various project management tools.

Identifies and acts on opportunities to share knowledge with clients and customers.

Demonstrates forms and coverage knowledge and applies them to exposure.

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of the business issues and rate, growth and profit objectives.

Offers creative solutions that contribute to the achievement of business results.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of products and appetites.

Provides timely and accurate turnaround of proposal offers, re-enrollment offers, and underwriting decisions for assigned, more complex territories.

Be consultative with assigned sales persons to make sure we offering the best competitive proposal

3-5 years group underwriting experience – life and health products.

Working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.

Math computation and analytical skills.

5+ years of experience with Worksite Underwriting of UL, CI, DI and Accident

Computer Skills - must have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.

Manage and organize incoming submissions from insurance brokers in a timely manner.

Draft, prepare, and manage key insurance documentation during underwriting.

2-5 years’ tax experience at a law firm, accounting firm, and/or consulting firm

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Excellent writing and communication skills.
