Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills

Previous Public Finance or Healthcare experience at an investment bank or financial advisory firm

Create and manage debt profiles for issuers/credits and evaluate existing debt portfolios for refunding/restructuring opportunities

Adaptable; able to manage projects independently and ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team

3+ years of relevant work experience (in leveraged finance, investment banking or related fields)

Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts

Provide support in execution of leveraged finance transactions for financial sponsors and corporate clients

Work with the senior bankers to manage the relationship and monitor performance of portfolio companies

Experience with three-statement financial modeling, including detailed operating builds and capital structure scenarios

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams

Allocate approximately 50% of time in year one towards live transactions and portfolio management - growing to 75% in year two

Complete ad-hoc projects related to business development, portfolio management, and general business planning purposes

Develop credit and comparative analysis skills: research companies, markets, and industries

BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or other quantitative fields

Proven analytical, writing, interpersonal and communication skills

Conduct due diligence and perform fundamental credit analysis to provide independent risk recommendations to senior risk and front office management

1-3 years of experience working with leveraged finance transactions in a credit risk or similar role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presence and ability to convey complex messages to varying audiences

Engage with and challenge front office teams to ensure transactions are consistent with UBS's risk appetite and regulatory expectations

Closely monitor business, financial, and industry developments to maintain up to date risk ratings and portfolio outlooks

Recent college graduate in Finance or related field

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task

Strong computer skills including use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg

Assist in preparation of presentation materials including pitch books, information memorandum and institutional investor / lender’s presentation materials

Prepare financial analysis on companies including ratio analysis, comparables and financial models with projections

Assist in the preparation of transaction memorandums, credit analysis, and corporate credit ratings analysis
