Lead Groundskeepers are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of grounds and landscaping for a variety of properties. This includes mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and watering lawns, as well as planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers. Lead Groundskeepers may also be responsible for snow removal, irrigation systems, and pest control. They must be able to identify and diagnose problems with plants and lawns and take corrective action. Lead Groundskeepers must be able to operate and maintain a variety of groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers. They must also be able to read and interpret plans and diagrams for landscaping projects.
