Lead Fund Accountant Jobs in New York

Assisting the management company with quarterly consolidation of applicable funds under GAAP, working with the corporate GL system

Responsible for Ad Hoc requests and special projects as necessary from management.

Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of work experience in fund accounting (public and private mix preferred)

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. VBA/Macro knowledge a plus.

Strong appreciation for technological advancement

Work with senior management on ad hoc projects

3 - 5 years AUDIT experience in public accounting (MUST have private equity clients)

Review quarterly / annual FS packages

Review fund administrator work such as capital calls and distribution allocations

Collaborate with the investment team, tax, client service, performance reporting and fund operations

Assist with managing cash expenditures and maintain budgets

Experience interacting with senior management

Work closely with asset management team to maintain fund models

3 to 6 years of total experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Real estate private equity fund or similar fund accounting knowledge

Help establish accounting and reporting policies and procedures for a series of real estate PE funds

· calculating management and incentive fees;

· Advent Geneva experience is preferred but not required.

· The newly created role will focus primarily on the $6B of long/short fund.

· The Fund Accountant will be responsible for:

· overseeing and shadowing the fund administrator’s work;

· reviewing allocation of fund expenses;
