Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration, Business Management, Marketing or related field or equivalent

Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required. Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices necessary

Execution of standards and responsibilities for cleanliness and appearance of Golf Shop

Registered PGA apprentice or current PGA Member in good standing

Answer telephones to schedule future starting time reservations and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner

Assist with the responsibility of managing, opening, closing, and securing golf shop and storage areas using established procedures

PGA Associate - Actively pursuing PGA membership in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program.

Hiring range is negotiable between $37,405 and $48,252 depending on a candidate's qualifications and experience

Effectively manages numerous types of tournaments from start to finish, including participation in meetings.

Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations as needed.

Manages USGA handicap system for customers.

Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.

Offer specialist advice using product knowledge to recommend products and services to meet customer requirements.

Knowledge of golf course management and operation practices and procedures

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Recreation Administration, Leisure Administration or related field

2-4 years’ experience working in a golf shop under a class "A" professional

Professional knowledge of the standards techniques of playing and teaching golf and of golf terminology and etiquette

Knowledge of golf-related concessions, equipment merchandising, maintenance of course and related facilities

Min 1year experience in the golf or hospitality industry preferred.

Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of retailing, marketing, and/or sales, customer service, and guest relations preferred.

Demonstrated quality written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.

Assist in implementing applicable Company operating, human resources, and safety policies and procedures pertaining to golf shop and outside service activities.

Monitor the performance of assigned staff.

Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of relevant work experience; OR

Associate's degree plus six (6) years of relevant work experience; OR

High School diploma or equivalent plus ten (10) years of relevant work experience

CPR/First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain within four (4) months of hire.

Related Fields/Experience include but not limited to: Golf Operations or Programming; Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.

Tangible knowledge of POS system (Jonas preferred) and Tee Sheet Management

Manage existing cart fleet and all cart management programs

Management of all outside and inside Golf staff

Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Sports Management or related field

Work to develop comprehensive knowledge of golf in decision-making, handling authority and setting meeting objectives
