Work primarily in an office setting

To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization.

Oversees undergraduate research assistant(s) based on previous experience.

Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience

OR Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience

OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

The collection and analysis of scientific data

The performance of environmental audits

How to collect defensible environmental sample data (e.g., soil, groundwater and surface water) and how to interpret this data

How to perform routine environmental audits and five-year reviews

Good written and verbal communication skills

Drinking water or wastewater treatment experience

Frequent travel/driving - typically local

Work in a field setting

Evaluate compliance with issued permits and CWA and SDWA regulations

Contribute positively to various team by making suggestions for improvements in methods or techniques that result in benefits to the department.

Demonstrate good written and communication skills.

BS/MS & a minimum 4-5 years’ experience in the industrial food, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, consumer goods, and/or fragrance industry.

Knowledgeable in lab safety, relevant application, raw materials, & chemical processes.

Can work independently on projects without direct manager supervision.

Support technical leaders in the areas of new product development, including prototype testing, methods development, stability, and fragrance performance.

Have strong task management skills; can work on multiple different tasks at the same time.

Essential Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Experience writing reports that meet applicable regulatory requirements

1 -3 years of professional experience

Have experience with environmental assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the U.S.

Have strong technical writing and data analysis skills.

Provide technical oversight, review, and/or project management of ongoing state and/or federal grant/loan programs.

Fulfill established educational, training, and safety requirements.

Advise management about work issues of concern as they occur.

Substitution of Education for Experience:

Performs laboratory or field tests based specific sample requirements.

Adheres to requirements specified in Standard Operating Procedures and any applicable federal and/or state standards.

0 - 4 years relevant in-field experience

Conducting wetland and watercourse delineations

Impact assessment and mitigation planning

Conduct technical reviews and analyze KPDES Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant discharge applications.

Carry out inspections of Municipal Wastewater and Stormwater Systems.
