Technical skills & knowledge of process

Fill out job check sheets for every job cut

Complete inspection forms for each different part cut

Calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.

Must have experience working with blueprints, drawings and engineering information

Knowledge in lasers including designing issues and maintenance

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

Knowledge of gauges, micrometers and calipers

One year of laser operation experience preferred

Safely uses assigned power equipment to move material and meet order requirements (overhead crane, forklift).

Must be familiar, comfortable, and experienced with laser cutting operations using oxygen and nitrogen.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment.

A minimum of two years of Gerber laser cutting machine operator experience with emphasis in the textile industry.

Experience in reading drawings and tolerances.

Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), and drafting.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with lasers in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

Maintains consistent and on-going communication with operations management to stay current on production workload priorities.

Strong math skills and problem solving abilities.

Runs production to meet production requirements.

Ability to program according to production requirements.

Ability to manage time effectively and meet production schedules.

Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, programming or logistical problems that arise.

Experience or training in operating computers, advance job management software, downloading PDF files and conducting backups required.

Knowledge of print capabilities to assist with tech support preferred.

Ability to monitor, interact with and adjust advanced machine and job management software.

Mechanical aptitude required and six months to one-year previous machine operation with experience in troubleshooting, setup and operation preferred.

Maintains the printing schedule and verifies PDF files, book specifications and print quantities through the Connex software.

Troubleshoots in-house communications problems and assists technical personnel to resolve telecommunication problems with host.

3+ years of laser welding and/or CNC laser or robotics experience

3+ years of direct experience

Robotic Experience (ABB, KUKA, FANUC or other

Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Position requires attention to detail, good reasoning skills and some computer skills.

Recall files, set up and operate equipment to control laser burning depth.

Loads and unloads production and prototype work to a defined position.

Moves controls to orchestrate patterns, movements and depth of burn.

Examines, cleans, and maintains system cooling according to preventive maintenance schedule.

Must read and write English language; ability to communicate with employees, peers and supervisor

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hour.
