Familiarity with government contracting process and management of federal funds

Contributes to the development of concepts, strategies, practices, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations and capabilities.

Knowledge of social justice and public health principles, practices, and policies within area of specialization.

Write grant proposals and manage grants received for research projects.

Conduct evaluation and research of corrections and juvenile and criminal justice programs:

Conduct research on existing policies and practice by developing research methodologies and data collection methods, calculating and analyzing statistical data.

Based on the evaluations and research, write reports with recommendations to improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems in Iowa.

Respond to special research requests by the Justice Advisory Board.

Compile statistical data and conduct research to produce analysis reports for other agencies via contractual agreements.
