Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: One year experience with Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems and MS Office.

Able to resolve complex issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment with little management oversight.

Expert working knowledge of the telecommunications systems, associated safety policies, practices, work procedures and regulatory requirements.

Prior work experience in an Operations Center environment

Experience with CISCO network implements, Transport related technologies or Voice/ Cellular troubleshooting.

Experience with position specific technical Software and Hardware.

5. Incident command, ticket management, escalations & tracking

• Monitor Change Management activities for notification of alarm suppression and post maintenance validations to take place.

2. Excellent phone skills (Managing Conference calls/Bridges)

3. Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, & web browser experience

4. Experience with web based and thick client monitoring tools (Application and Network)

• Manage timely ticket updates.

Establish factual data to allow management and vendors to understand the problem and prevent reoccurrence.

Manage and correlate multiple trouble reports.

Manage and guide restoration bridges during outage conditions

Provide direct support to technicians in restoration activities associated with alarm and/or outage conditions of elements managed.

Knowledge of equipment-specific maintenance procedures and can assist field ops in equipment restoration.

Maintain excellent acknowledgment and response time to alarms and customer calls.

Document analysis, findings, and actions in a case/knowledge management system.

2+ years of prior incident handling/response experience

Experience working in a SOC environment is required

CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.

Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings

DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC prior to starting.

Report to the Manager-Network Operations

Two years of experience with transport operations (network operations center, field network operations, outside fiber networks, central office transport networks, etc.)

Strong communications and notation skills

Experience with Remedy ticketing system

Experience with successfully working as a telecommuter

Experience with Microsoft Teams or Zoom

· Coordinating activities including Change Management with client resources through resolution

· Coordinating with the other IT team members the development of the Service Desk knowledge base

· Provides regular updates to the Service Desk Manager on assigned projects

· Network troubleshooting skills in LAN, WAN, WLAN environments

· Storage Experience – preferably NetApp

· Virtualization experiences using VMware or Citrix

· Strong critical thinking skills, specifically of security principles and real-life application of those principles

· Experience working night or weekend shifts

· Experience working with tools such as:

Schedule: 3 days a week rotating schedule, 3rd shift (6 PM - 6 AM)

· A+, Network+ or Security+ preferred

· Familiarity with understanding, resolving, and escalating a wide variety of support tickets
