They are responsible for ensuring the safety of the public and the electrical system. They must be able to work in all types of weather and terrain, and be able to climb poles and towers. Detailed Job Description A Journeyman or Apprentice Lineman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines. This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing power poles, towers, and other related equipment. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals. They must be able to use a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, ladders, and other specialized tools. They must be able to work in all types of weather and terrain, and be able to climb poles and towers. They must be able to work with high voltage electricity and be able to recognize and respond to hazardous situations. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, ladders, and other specialized tools
• Ability to work in all types of weather and terrain
