Reviews medical clinic and immunization caseloads and recommends changes to staffing, training, and management to ensure well-run clinical programs.

Provides counseling and/or support group facilitations for a variety of health issues; teaches basic health care practices.

Interviews clients, gathers medical history, performs general health screenings and assessments, performs examinations, and provides nursing diagnosis.

Drafts and recommends departmental policies and procedures.

Provides non-emergency medical care during daily sick-call in the facility, including mental health concerns, dental issues and wound care.

Plans and administers treatment and medication, monitors results.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

Experience working in a managed care environment preferred

Assists health care providers, registered nurses and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests and routine procedures.

Obtains patient health history, laboratory specimens,vitalsigns and administers TB skin tests.

Reviews patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient’s conditions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May provide consultation for chemical dependency problems, education and training for other program staff and community agencies and groups.

Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health, behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and other related areas.

Must ensure compliance with federal, state, and interagency regulations

The LPNs job responsibilities will be limited by his/her license.

Provide on-going inmate education as related to health care needs and activities of daily living.

Have working knowledge of dietary needs.

Provide education and follow-up care for special needs inmates while incarcerated.

Have working knowledge of assessment and treatment for suicide prevention.

Prefer a minimum of three years of nursing experience in an established medical practice, clinic, etc.
