Minimum education, certification and experience requirements:

Develop management reports to monitor contract performance.

Supports Management by providing information, locating data sources and collecting data under tight time constraints.

Assure contractual arrangements meet financial targets and legal/regulatory compliance requirements. There will be an emphasis on analyzing cost and utilization data.

Manage Regional Support Specialists team and protocols

Minimum of 5/10 years of experience in insurance and risk management.

Strong communication, project management, attention to detail and analytical skills required.

Support the Treasury and Risk management departments in marketing Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago risk to insurance markets around the world.

File, process and resolve insurance claims in coordination with insurance carriers, Legal, Risk Management and other departments.

Coordinate with Risk Management department and Treasury Manager to ensure timely payment of claims and expenses from the Self-Insurance Trust.

Serves as principal contact for Accounting, Legal, Risk Management, Facilities, Information Technology, the Foundation and other departments regarding insurance issues.

Educational background/ coursework in Business Administration/ Management, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Mathematics/Science, Sales/Marketing/Communications preferred.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

Develops consultative sales and marketing skills through their interaction with agents/brokers and via coaching from their manager.

Develops negotiation skills through their interaction with agents/brokers and via coaching from their manager.

Develops planning and organization skills necessary to effectively manage desk and assume a territory.

Understands and uses financial information, tools and expense management principles to accomplish day-to-day work and maximize profitability.

Proven experience in program management.

Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.

Proven experience managing a team.

Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.

Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

Manage various commercially placed medical professional liability insurance policies.

5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting ops required.

Experience budgeting and data analysis preferred.
