Overview The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing the insurance program for an organization. This includes researching and selecting insurance policies, managing claims, and providing customer service to policyholders. The Insurance Coordinator must have a thorough understanding of the insurance industry and be able to effectively communicate with clients and insurance providers. Detailed Job Description The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing the insurance program for an organization. This includes researching and selecting insurance policies, managing claims, and providing customer service to policyholders. The Insurance Coordinator must have a thorough understanding of the insurance industry and be able to effectively communicate with clients and insurance providers.• Research and select insurance policies that meet the organization’s needs
• Manage claims and provide customer service to policyholders
• Monitor and analyze insurance trends and recommend changes to policies
• Negotiate with insurance providers to obtain the best coverage and rates
• Prepare and maintain insurance records and reports
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations
• Develop and implement insurance policies and procedures
• Provide training and education to staff on insurance policies and procedures
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to negotiate and build relationships with insurance providers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in insurance or related field
• Professional certification in insurance (e.g. CPCU, AIC, ARM)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
• Understanding of insurance industry trends
• Familiarity with insurance software and databases
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in insurance or related field
• Experience in customer service and claims management
• Experience in negotiating with insurance providers
