Instructional Behavioral Specialist Jobs

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Learning Management System and presentation software.

Monitors student progress and course participation, on discussion board, tracks missing assignments, and records scores in the Learning Management System.

Skills in verbal and written communication to provide concrete and effective feedback.

Grades written assignments, essays, position papers, article reviews, not including discussion postings.

Grades tests, assignments, and communication postings, discussion board, for participation, content and form according to instructor-supplied rubric.

Maintains student interactions through email/phone and tutoring individuals and small groups and large study sessions as scheduled by the instructor.

Exhibits a working knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines in special education.

Master’s degree in special education or related field.

Three years of teaching experience.

Considerable knowledge of effective and varied teaching strategies, classroom accommodations, modifications, and varied assessment techniques.

Demonstrates knowledge of applied behavioral analysis, behavioral principles, and strategies.

Ability to work effectively with people and demonstrate good human relations skills.
