The IOR is also responsible for documenting any discrepancies or issues that arise during the construction process and providing recommendations for corrective action. Job Skill Requirements The Inspector of Record must have a thorough understanding of construction processes and procedures, as well as a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. The IOR must also have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Qualifications The Inspector of Record must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
