An Individual Giving Officer is responsible for developing and managing relationships with individual donors and prospects. They are responsible for creating and implementing strategies to increase donations from individuals, as well as managing donor databases and tracking donor information. They also work to cultivate relationships with potential donors, create and execute fundraising campaigns, and provide stewardship to existing donors. To become an Individual Giving Officer, you should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or fundraising. You should also have experience in fundraising, donor relations, and/or sales. Additionally, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.
