Liaise with property management organizations to ensure continuing quality services to refugees;

Property Management and Vendor Relations

Complete case notes related to all housing activities and ensure reporting requirements are met.

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study; or equivalent work experience;

Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in housing or human services field preferred;

Self- starter with excellent analytical skills combined with the demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and work efficiently;

HUD Housing program administration experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of HUG regulations preferred.

Work effectively with other employees, clients, users, and management; promote and maintain a team environment.

Associate's degree (two-year degree) or certification program of comparable length.

Two years’ experience working in social service and/or federal housing programs, financial eligibility determination, or other housing programs.

Demonstrated knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and rules preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of Housing Authority Policies and Procedures preferred.

Manage an assigned caseload of HCV participants

Conduct annual recertification within required time frames

Complete interim recertifications as required

Educate participants on program requirements and family obligations

Conduct all job functions in alignment with the PHA’s Administrative Plan, HUD regulations and other state and local requirements

Obtain certification in Housing Choice Voucher Specialist within 120 days of employment

Two years’ experience, preferably in a non-profit or real estate environment, knowledge of supportive housing and DHS housing programs preferred

Coordinate and develop knowledge of alternative housing opportunities including scatter site, market rate apartments, nursing home, and mental health housing

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Previous experience working with homeless/formerly homeless populations, adults with substance abuse /dual diagnosis preferred

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Strong writing and verbal communication skills

2 or more years of previous property management experience in either the single family or multi-family rental industry

Ensure that all requirements by the HUD program are being met

Facilitate all inspections with the Housing Authority and local markets for new move in’s and recertifications

Be knowledgeable of provisions in standard lease documents and maintain a working knowledge of resident rules and regulations

Be knowledgeable of all HUD program rules and changes to ensure compliance

Ensure all training requirements, including Progress ED, are completed on time

Manages the collections and coding of invoices to correct department for accounts payable processing.

Prior Sales and Marketing experience

Prior experience working with seniors

Supports Housing Director with total operations of the building.

Provides tours to potential residents, families, and referrals, including evening and weekends as requested. Completes lease agreements for all move-ins.

Develops and maintains a master calendar of events, outings, and other recreational opportunities for residents.

Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Implement caseload management process for Section 8 program participants

Performs annual, interim, and special recertification of participants; receives, reviews, and processes recertification packets.

Implement the departments Mission Statement in all aspects of customer contact

Counsel applicants, tenants and owners on program rules and regulations

Disseminate program information throughout the community via public speaking forums and seminars
