Housing Program Coordinator Jobs in California

A graduate degree in a related field may substitute for one year of work experience.

Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH); and

Comprehensive Affordable Multifamily Retrofit (CAMR)

Assist Sustainable Housing team staff and partner organizations in implementing SOMAH, CAMR and other programs as assigned.

Develop and implement statewide outreach strategies with the support of a direct supervisor and other Sustainable Housing team members.

Represent the California Housing Partnership in our role as representative of the SOMAH and CAMR programs.

BA or BS, preferably in Social Services or another relevant field.

Bi-lingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Tagalog is STRONGLY preferred.

Bicultural understanding of Spanish/Vietnamese speaking communities.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

San Jose office and Palo Alto office

Education and/or training in property management functions, and experience working with people with disabilities, institutionalized, and homeless individuals

Act as single point of contact for property managers and landlords to resolve tenant issues, and maintain regular communication;

Knowledge of supportive affordable housing in San Mateo County

Experience working in a crisis setting and ability to respond appropriately in an emergency

Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and reasonable accommodations

Basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required

General computer experience and proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace with working knowledge of StarRez required.

Ensures timely and accurate posting of resident account transactions, including rent, meal plan, and damage charges

Assists with planning and execution of the student self-assignment process and assigns housing to students who apply outside the self-assignment period

Audit and ensure compliance with applicable University policies regarding eligibility for campus housing

Coordinates and assists the Assistant Director of Housing Operations with the intersession housing and petition for the housing license breakage fee

Ensure that all cancellations and room changes are processed within StarRez
