Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.

Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.

Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.

Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.

Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.

Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.

Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.

Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.

Identifying, disposing and transporting of bio – hazardous materials.

Safely operating cleaning equipment as assigned.

Performs damp buffing and spot removal of carpets.

Strips and refinishes hard surface floors.

After initial training, demonstrate ability to utilize supplies, tools and equipment properly

Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods to include:

1 year housekeeping experience in healthcare

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

This is a full-time position, evening shift and night availability required, located at our Scripps Green campus.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Familiar with precautions in handling cleaning chemicals.

Working environment is generally favorable;

There is exposure to risk in the form of disease, radiation, and disoriented or combative patients.

High potential for exposure to blood and body fluids;

Personal protective equipment required for at-risk procedures.

Minimum grammar school education. Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Some experience helpful. Training will be provided for all required functions. Should be honest, possess good judgement, tact, compassion and integrity.

Clean floor laundry rooms by mopping floors, cleaning dryer vents and washing appliances.

Performs other cleaning duties on floor chutes and floor hallways.

Maintains equipment which includes vacuums and carts.

Uses cleaning substances in a safe and responsible manner.
