The Work of the RN HOSPICE Case Manager Includes:

Medical, dental and vision plans start on the 1st day of the month following the month of employment

PTO starts to accumulate from first day of employment

In addition to PTO, six paid holidays per calendar year

Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of nursing process and as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.

The Administrator/Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall management and clinical operation of the Hospice agency.

Additionally, this role oversees the dynamic interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance and excellent patient care.

This individual drives team work, leads by example, and has a focus on quality care.

3 years of clinical leadership

Explain to patients the processes and procedures involved in electrophysiology

Provide answers to any questions patients might have

Watch over patients and notify physicians for any problems that might develop

Sedate patients before an electrophysiology procedure

Perform circulating functions and scrub patients for surgical placement of pacemakers and defibrillators

Evaluate defibrillators and pacemakers during and after procedures

Education: Licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing as a RN

Provide support to caretaker and other family members in care-taking responsibilities and through the grief process.

The nurse must possess effective problem-solving techniques, use effective communication, and demonstrate decision making skills.

Must be sensitive to the special needs of terminally ill patients and their families.

Participate in community outreach events to promote growth and understanding of hospice and palliative care concepts.
