Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:

Takes and records oral and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)

Meets Maxim and applicable State Background Investigation requirements

Possession of current CPR certification and First Aid training/certification as applicable, per State regulations

Participation in Tuberculosis screening/testing requirements per Maxim policy and as applicable, per State regulation

Bathing (sponge bath, shower, tub, shampoo)

Health, dental, vision, and life insurance ( Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status).

Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Giving patients important social and emotional support.

Providing vital information on patient conditions to nurses.

$20/hr to start and far exceeds state pay average!

Extra pay for shifts outside normal workday!

Extra $3.50/hr weekdays between 7pm and 7am Monday through Friday (shift ends Friday at 7am)

Extra $4.00/hr for weekends beginning at 7pm on Friday and ending 7am on Monday.

Experience using a computer including data entry or patient charting.

Reports significant care concerns or safe environment issues to the Case Manager/Agency before leaving the home.

Reports other general care concerns to the Case Manager/Agency before completing the shift.

Basic Life Support Certification for healthcare providers.

Experience working in home health or hospice.

2 years professional experience with the elderly in a Facility or with an agency or have a CNA certification

Experience with Transferring seniors using a hoyer lift or gait belt

Knowledge of Alzheimer's and Dementia

Must have a cell phone and have texting capabilities.

Must have valid Drivers License, reliable vehicle and insurance.
