Hfc Osp Engineer Jobs in Iowa

Strong project management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines

Work with other departments to ensure make ready management, permitting and fielding meet OSP design criteria

Knowledge of the permitting requirements across local jurisdiction

Manage and design hundreds of miles of outside plant for a major network deployment

Experience in high level network design (splice and physical plant), and detailed engineering

Working knowledge of pole line design and fiber construction, both aerial and underground

Working with multiple municipalities regarding their requirements and timeframes for various Outside Plant Construction Projects.

3+ years of experience as an engineer or engineering PM or OSP Field Engineer

Experience working as a Wire Center Engineer at CenturyLink / Lumen

Experience leading OSP/ISP engineering operations as a contractor to CenturyLink / Lumen

Strong understanding of ROW, Public Utility Easements, and permitting requirements for assigned jurisdictions

Good organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced HFC OSP Engineers to join our team.

Proven knowledge of HFC network architecture, components, best practices and design systems;

Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing HFC networks;

Proven knowledge of AutoDesign, IQGeo, Comsof, ARMIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and other engineering-related software;

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to HFC networks;

Plan and design HFC networks, including the selection of appropriate cable types, sizes, and routing;
