Helper Apprentice Pipe Welder Jobs in Florida

Responsibilities, Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Maintain D1.1 qualifications in accordance with company required America Welding Society (AWS) certifications.

Properly complete all routine paperwork and computer data entry related to the job responsibilities.

Basic computer and writing skills.

Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.

Meet or exceed the minimum Ultrasonic Inspection (UT) pass ratio requirement within a selected time period.

· Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

· Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders in preparation for welding or cutting metal components.

· Complete welds to the specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials.

· Install and verify operation of high-pressure steel pipes and fittings.

· Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

· Work with minimal supervision.

Four (4) years of welding experience

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Installation and repair of copper and cast iron pipe

Modify and repair utility equipment

Maintain standards in ASME B31.1

May be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
