Four years minimum of verifiable mechanical work experience or training

One-year minimum of verifiable training and/or experience working with gasoline and diesel engines on large, industrial equipment

Three months minimum of verifiable training and/or experience with electrical and/or gas welding

One-year minimum of verifiable training and/or experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams and schematics

Minimum high school/GED education and prefer three years of experience in construction equipment maintenance and service repair

Manage multiple repairs at once

Maintain a working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical fuel systems and/or charging systems, etc

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, preferred CDL and forklift certification

Knowledge of hydraulics, hydrostat, engines, electrical, fuel systems, and/or charging systems

Strong oral and written communication skills

The Fleet Mechanic must have 2-3 years of experience with diesel trucks and various heavy equipment.

2 years’ diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience or educational equivalent required

Perform all job duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

Working knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines, equipment hydraulics, and electrical systems required

Proven prior experience working on various machines including the above-mentioned equipment

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on diesel/heavy equipment including: front-end loaders, forklifts, and excavators

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical defects
