Demonstrated ability to execute advocacy campaign-related deliverables, such as convenings, reports, sign-on letters, partnership agreements, and/or relationship-management databases.
Contribute to program’s media and public education work, including strategy, talking points, and speaking engagements.
A bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience are required.
Experience holding full-time responsibility in a campaign setting such as electoral campaigns, issue or legislative campaigns, or community organizing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the desire and ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside the organization.

The Head of Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs is responsible for leading the patient advocacy and government affairs efforts of an organization. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the organization’s interests are represented in the public and government arenas. The Head of Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs will work closely with the organization’s leadership team to ensure that the organization’s goals and objectives are achieved.

Detailed Job Description:

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the organization’s interests are represented in the public and government arenas.
• Monitor and analyze public policy and legislative developments to identify opportunities and threats to the organization’s interests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry representatives, and patient advocacy groups.
• Represent the organization at public forums, hearings, and other events.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage and educate the public on the organization’s mission and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage and educate government officials on the organization’s mission and objectives.
