Assist the Portfolio Manager in evaluating investment opportunities

2+ years of relevant buyside experience covering therapeutics

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Conduct independent research, valuation, and industry analysis

Create and maintain detailed corporate financial models

Assist with ongoing diligence on new and existing investments, including:

Perform data entry and transfer of patient information into electronic databases.

Collect, store and maintain accurate and up-to-date source documentation to support data entry.

Meet contractual agreements for data entry and query resolution timelines; meet external deadlines to support protocol milestones.

Facilitate external research personnel vetting process to comply with institutional and HIPAA requirements.

Participate in the departmental training and orientation program, attend required departmental meetings for training and education.

Continuously seek learning opportunities and supplemental education.

Use good oral and written communication skills to relay scientific data

Maintain awareness of cutting-edge technical developments and scientific knowledge and apply these where possible to improve process efficiency

Hands-on experience in purification techniques including affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, hydrophobic interaction chromatography using Akta Avant/Pure or BioRad NGC

Must be team-oriented, professional, hard-working, and interested in learning new skills.

Experience with other protein characterization technologies (DLS, SEC-MALS, LC/MS, IEX/HIC-HPLC) would be a strong plus

Experience in protein formulation, automated liquid handling systems (Hamilton, Bravo) would be a plus

Strong analytical skills and experience in managing a small team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Master of Science degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Science with two years of working experience.

Experience with fluorescence microscopy and cell imaging technology to evaluate cell health and gene modifications.

Experience reviewing scientific literature, following technology development in iPSC, gene editing and related fields, and applying new technologies to enhance productivity.

Communication skills to interact with team members and users, and to update researchers on the status of work in progress.

Budget and Resource Management: Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and prioritize projects based on their potential impact and feasibility.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines relevant to cell-based therapies and biologics.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology) with a strong focus on cell-based therapies.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive research advancements and partnerships.
