Hardware Repair Technician Jobs

The Hardware Technician provides Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote supports for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.

Conducts sites surveys; assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements.

Analyzes existing requirements and prepares specifications for hardware acquisitions.

Must have one of the following 8570 certifications: A+ CE, NET+ CE, SSCP

Additional years of experience will be considered for AA or BA/BS degrees on a case by case basis.

Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.

Technical Experience: Should know basic computer Hardware asset knowledge

Experience with RAID levels is a plus

Web Server and Database installation experience a plus

Qualifications : High School Pass out Minimum

Rack, Build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and AMD Servers

Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment

Track and manage inventory in-shop and in company vehicles

Use hand, power, and electrical tools as you assemble hardware units

Always ensure that safety is the top priority

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction and troubleshoot without supervision

Ability to travel 2+ days per week

Clean driving record and criminal background check

Earn and keep current on certifications for Apple, Lenovo, HP, Dell, and more

Repair laptops, desktops, tablets, and/or phones to Manufacturer requirements, using hand or power tools and measuring devices

Perform repairs that meet the minimum requirements of the Manufacturer’s key performance metrics

Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager

2+ Years experience performing Laptop, desktop, tablet, and/or iPhone repairs

A minimum of one of the following certifications: Comp TIA A +(nice to have), ACMT, ACiT, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Toshiba
