Responsible for cleanliness of assigned rooms to include:

Complete dusting and vacuuming of room to ensure all dirt and debris is removed.

All in-room paper products are up-to-date and neat without creases, marks or water rings.

Outstanding communication and active listening skills

At least six (6) months of previous cleaning experience

Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals

Previous experience working in a similar hotel setting

Cleans and vacuums approximately 15 rooms a day

Conducts am and pm room checks to determine the status of rooms

Ensuring that guest rooms are clean and neat

Completing daily assignment of guest rooms within allotted time and perform general cleaning as assigned

Stocking and maintaining cart in a neat, orderly manner at all times

Replaces all items that are moved, missing or damaged and reports damaged, broken or missing furniture and equipment immediately to supervisors

Immediately reports to the supervisor any unusual or extreme bio-hazard situations relating to the use of cleaning chemicals

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Six (6) months experience in some area of housekeeping or janitorial preferable.

Basic knowledge on handling devices and radios.

Working knowledge of chemicals/ cleaning supplies including Safety Data Sheet and OSHA regulations, preferable.

Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts in proper uniform, including nametags and with a great Smile.

Review assignments on the device and update and completed room assignments. Check with Supervisor for additional assignments throughout the shift.

Use correct cleaning chemicals appropriately for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel policies.

Complete detail projects assigned by management

Offer the hotel guest the best possible service in a courteous and hospitable manner, having knowledge of hotel information

Provide excellent customer service skills to guest as well as co-workers

Must have 6 months of customer service or hospitality experience

One (1)+ years’ experience in a hotel environment preferred

Remove all trash from guest rooms, empty wastebaskets, strip, remove and properly dispose of all soiled linen from guest rooms

Experience in the hospitality industry as well as knowledge of common industry terms and practices preferred.

Promptly report any incidents of Guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to Manager/Supervisor so that corrective action may be taken.
