Grant Proposal Developer Jobs

Excellent writing skills and extensive experience in writing grant proposals and reports

Experience working in grant writing for non-profit organizations; working in the democracy and/or elections space is a plus.

A recent track record of securing grant funding for non-profit organizations

Ability to ‘jump in’ and learn about our organization.

Ability to work with and coordinate with a team including development and communications staff

An understanding of current trends in the philanthropic community

Collaborates effectively with Grants Administrator to develop grant budgets and ensure compliance in grant management and reporting to funding agencies

Researches and identifies government, corporate, nonprofit, and private funding opportunities that align with College needs and priorities

Establishes and maintains effective relationships with federal, state, and local funding agencies

Presents grant updates and reports to executive leadership

Manage and develop protocols for the timely submission of proposals

Attend team meetings and serve as a resource on funder requirements and grant deliverables

Manage/support the contracting process as needed

B.A. degree or equivalent experience with 5-10 years of international development and fundraising experience; humanitarian experience preferred.

Knowledge of the international humanitarian funding landscape (including institutional, corporate, and foundations)

Strong written communication and partner engagement skills

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience writing and editing material in a wide range of disciplines desirable.

Experience developing successful grant proposals to federal sponsors desirable.
