Gis Data Technician Jobs in Indiana

Adequately train Technicians and Installers to complete all the tasks and responsibilities of their positions.

Maintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements

Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook.

Installation of structured cabling systems including all aspects of the installation process: OSP, ISP, Rack, Stack, Patch, Fusion Splicing, Testing

Reads and interprets all floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets

Position is fully remote but must be located in the following states: FL, NC, SC, TN, IN, OH or KY only.

Remote setting only. No mandatory field work or OSHA training.

Construction drawing knowledge a plus.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Technician will be trained by Company on the project procedures and standards.

All work is QC’d thoroughly and candidates must be open to constructive criticism in the feedback.

Review scanned in records from construction site and verifying the information on those records in a GIS.

A minimum of 1 year of relevant GIS experience is required

Experience with ESRI software (MapInfo, ArcGIS, or other similar software) required

Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access required

Basic knowledge of geographically referenced data required (projections, datum, map scales, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or related degree

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Smallworld, Google Earth, and GPS is a plus
