Detailed Job Description Genetic counselors work with individuals and families to assess their risk for inherited conditions, provide information about genetic testing and other options, and help them make informed decisions about their health. They also provide counseling and support to individuals and families who have, or may be at risk for, a variety of inherited conditions. Genetic counselors may also provide education and resources to healthcare providers and the public about genetic conditions and testing. Job Skills Required
