Knowledge of infection control practices.
Prepare patients for their endoscopy procedure performing general pre-operative assessments.
As directed, administer moderate sedation and closely monitoring patient chart medications and vital signs and patient’s condition throughout the intra-operative phase.
Ability to recognize emergency situations and assist in corrective action.
Monitoring and recording post-operative patients' levels of consciousness, vital signs, and pain assessment, during recovery from moderate sedation.
Closely observing patients for signs of side effects of sedation medication.
