Registered Nurse Ii/Iii-Mc/Chc- Gastroenterology (Gi) Lab

The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System-Medical Center (RUHS-MC) is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse II/III for the Gastroenterology (GI) Services Department. The ideal candidates for this position will possess at least one year of Registered Nurse experience preferably as a GI nurse, and/or in GI administration, as well as conscious sedation experience.
Incumbents in this position will be responsible for the following:

• Providing post-operative education.
• Pre/IntraOp/Post Op care of patients.
• Closely observing patients for signs of side effects of sedation medication.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and assist in corrective action.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Monitoring and recording post-operative patients' levels of consciousness, vital signs, and pain assessment, during recovery from moderate sedation.
• As directed, administer moderate sedation and closely monitoring patient chart medications and vital signs and patient’s condition throughout the intra-operative phase.
• Prepare patients for their endoscopy procedure performing general pre-operative assessments.
• Circulates in GI OR procedures
• Providing moderate sedation and monitoring patient.

Work Schedule: 9/80 Monday-Friday alternating Mondays off.
